And here we have it - last but not least! Before and after photos of treatment room #2! As with the other spaces, I've still got some finishing touches to do, but I'm really happy with how I've been able to transform the space from something quite awful, into something beautiful. Even though you can see in the before photo that there was a lot of water damage in the building, as I've said in an earlier post, there has been significant waterproofing, repair and professional mould remediation to ensure this is a safe and healthy environment for everyone. I hope to see you in the clinic one day soon to show it to you IRL!

So here is an interesting question for you...What do you do with an oddly shaped space that is not quite a room, but too big to just be a passageway? Why, you turn it into a peaceful, semi-private sanctuary for a top of the line massage chair, that's what! Introducing our newest offering - the Elex Meditouch massage chair, where you can let all your worries melt away. I'm proud of this part of the clinic - with the curtain drawn it really feels like you're in your own little space. Add in the complementary eye massager and you can really drift off into relaxation. You can book an affordable 20, 30, 40 or even 60 minute massage in the chair right here on the website, and give it a try for yourself :-) You can book an affordable 20, 30, 40 or even 60 minute massage in the chair right here on the website. Spring is a season of renewal and growth, offering a perfect opportunity to refresh your body and mind. Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) emphasises living in harmony with the seasons, and spring is associated with the liver, which governs the flow of Qi (energy) throughout the body. Embracing TCM principles can help you harness the energy of spring for optimal health and wellness. Here are some TCM-inspired self-help tips to boost your well-being this spring.
Those of you who visited the QYHC at it's old location will understand why I was excited to discover we would have our very own bathroom at the new space, but take a look.... How revolting is the before photo??! I was not going to let the opportunity to create a beautiful, serene and CLEAN bathroom for myself and my beautiful patients pass me by. After years of sharing the awful toilets at Springwood Mall, finally we have a clean and calm place to pee in peace! Which one would you rather use?!
Welcome to part two of my before and after photos! As you can see, I got quite a nasty surprise when I pulled up the horrid old lino on my first day in the new premises - underneath was terrible water damage that rendered the place unsafe & unhealthy. After an already long and arduous journey to securing this new premises, it was almost enough to make me want to give up.... But hopefully you know, that's not the kind of person I am. It took another two months of negotiations to get the owner to address this serious issue properly (i.e. not just "giving it a good clean", as they wanted me to do) - including professional mould remediation (twice, at my insistence), waterproofing the walls and floor, and agreeing to regular air quality health checks. To their credit, they eventually did all the right things. And only then could I begin painting, flooring and decorating.... but I hope you agree it was all worth it. I'm proud of everything I've overcome to get to this point and how great it looks! My wonderful patients tell me that the space has lovely energy and have been having deeply relaxing and healing treatments already. More photos to come...I hope you're enjoying them.
I'm delighted to offer you a peek into the transformation of a delapidated old space into the beautiful nurturing clinic that Quan Yin Healing Centre 2.0 now is! This is the first of a series of posts - today I'll be showcasing the reception area. I personally painted all the ceilings & walls, laid every floor plank, and did the decor. It's still not 100% finished, but I'll keep refining the special finishing details, and it's so wonderful to be open again!! What do you think?!
As the cold grip of winter gives way to the blooming vibrance of spring, our bodies and minds often crave a reset. The transition into spring is not just a change in season; it's an opportunity for renewal and rejuvenation. One holistic approach that can enhance your well-being during this time is acupuncture. Let’s explore how this ancient practice can be particularly beneficial in spring.
