Quan Yin Meditation Mist
uan Yin meditation mist is a pure essential oil & precious crystal infused body mist that you can use to tap into your spiritual energy and enhance your meditative practices.
Inspired by the Buddhist Deity Quan Yin, Goddess of Healing and Compassion, this meditation mist is designed to encourage stillness and inner peace, and to help reduce the stresses of everyday life. It contains a special blend of essential oils (Frankincense, Clary Sage, Orange, Thyme, Ylang Ylang and Patchouli) to help you access your inner emotional and spiritual power. The Bulgarian rose water was chosen as a base for it's soothing and calming properties. Each bottle also has Rose Quartz crystals included for their ability to inspire unconditional love, infinite peace, inner healing and self love. |
To use, give a little shake, then you can simply mist over your face and body and take a few deep breaths to promote a deep sense of love, peace and spirituality at the beginning of a meditation, yoga or relaxation session. You can also use this spray anytime you need to step away from a stressful situation.
To enhance the relaxing effect of the body mist, I suggest using it in conjunction with either one, or both of the acupressure points described below.

Acupressure
Acupressure is a system of medicine that is based on the same energetic principles as acupuncture, however, instead of needles, you use pressure on the points with your hands or another instrument. You need to use gentle but firm pressure on each point for a full two-three minutes to get the desired effect.
My two favourite points for enhancing meditation are "Yin Tang", and GV-20. Both points are wonderful, so you can try them both, and choose whichever one feels most comfortable. You can even use them both together at the same time.

Yin Tang
Yin Tang is located in between your eyebrows, and is a powerful point for emotional and spiritual healing.
The location of this point corresponds to the location of the ''third eye' in Buddhism and Hinduism, that is understood to open as our consciousness expands and we become enlightened. The third eye chakra is associated with enhanced inner guidance, mental clarity and intuition. Interestingly, from a Western medical perspective, Yin Tang is also located directly in front of the pineal gland, that is activated when light enters the skull at this point, and regulates the production of melatonin. Use gentle pressure on this point for two to three minutes - no need to be causing any discomfort. It should feel quite pleasant. |
GV-20
GV-20, Baihui (One Hundred Meetings) is located right at the top of your head, at the vertex, on the midline - in line with the tips of your ears. Use pressure here for two to three minutes.
The name One Hundred Meetings relates to the fact that in Chinese Medicine, GV-20 is the meeting point for all the body's Yang Qi/energy. It helps to clear the mind, heighten awareness and concentration, and awaken creativity. It also helps to counteract depression. This point correlates to the location of the crown chakra, which represents the pathway to being fully connected on a spiritual level. |
If you would like to try a beautiful meditation technique to combine with this meditation mist and these acupressure points, why don't you try a wonderful technique named "The Quickie". I have written a blog about it here for more information - you can try it with GV-20 and Yin Tang, or CV-17 and Yin Tang (as suggested in the blog post) - either combination will be amazing.
I hope you enjoy using your meditation mist, as much as I enjoyed making it for you!!
