Clinic News - A sad farewell to Genevieve

It is with sadness that I tell you Genevieve will no longer be working with us at Affordable Acupuncture. As you may know, she has been on holidays and unfortunately, she will not be returning to the clinic. In order to explain, I will pass over to the lovely lady herself – she has written a message especially for you. Read on for her message, my tribute to her, and an update as to what will be happening in the clinic for the short and long term:

“Dearest Affordable acupuncture friends, 

It is with a heavy heart that I'm letting you know that I will no longer be working at Marrickville. I have a few personal health issues that I need to work through at the moment and I'm finally taking the advice that I have often said to some of you: listen to your body and make the changes you need to make your health a priority.

I just wanted to say a very, very big thank you to each and every one of you. I never thought that I would be a part of so many beautiful stories during my time here. I thank you for trusting in me and allowing me the opportunity to help you in what ever way I could, it has been both a privilege and a true honour to have been a part of so many health journeys

I wish every single one of you the very best and I have no doubt I will still see you around Marrickville or even in the waiting room as we wait to see those special women with the golden fingers- the beautiful Angie, Kata, Amy and also the lovely Body Harmonie and New leaf ladies. These women have been an amazing strength and support to me during my time here and I can't thank them enough for that. I need to also share my gratitude and thanks to the beautiful Angie. Angie has been the heart of our beautiful clinic for so very long, outside of her healing in the clinic she is working behind the scenes to keep this space open for every one of us, a mammoth task which is accomplished with the skill of a true warrior. Angie has been my go to for help and guidance, the wise ears just as I needed them. When I was treating I was treating with a stronghold of wise and very gifted practitioners whispering in my ear and guiding my hand and Angie was right there at the front. I wish the  Affordable Acupuncture team all my best wishes and thanks. 

Lastly, thanks for all the laughs and smiles. Sometimes I would reflect on my day on the train ride home and would find myself having a good old giggle thinking about the funny stories and strange happenings that you shared with me. These are the memories I will cherish the most. 

Look after yourselves for me- plenty of water, plenty of rest and keep warm!

Thankyou Genevieve, for such a beautiful and heartfelt goodbye. Please know that you will be greatly missed, both by all the patients that you served and by your colleagues at the clinic who had the pleasure of working with you these past 18 months. Your sweet, gentle spirit and your deep commitment to helping everyone who came your way with the best of your ability has been an absolute inspiration. On behalf of all of us, staff and patients of Affordable Acupuncture, we love you, we are so grateful for all you have done for us, and we will truly miss you.

So what does this mean for us at the clinic?

I know Gen has left big shoes to fill, but I am in the process of arranging a new practitioner to join us at the clinic, and I know you are going to love her. Stay tuned for our warm welcome for our newest team member.
