So here is an interesting question for you...What do you do with an oddly shaped space that is not quite a room, but too big to just be a passageway? Why, you turn it into a peaceful, semi-private sanctuary for a top of the line massage chair, that's what! Introducing our newest offering - the Elex Meditouch massage chair, where you can let all your worries melt away. I'm proud of this part of the clinic - with the curtain drawn it really feels like you're in your own little space. Add in the complementary eye massager and you can really drift off into relaxation. You can book an affordable 20, 30, 40 or even 60 minute massage in the chair right here on the website, and give it a try for yourself :-) You can book an affordable 20, 30, 40 or even 60 minute massage in the chair right here on the website. Why don't you come in and give it a try for yourself? :-)
Spring is a season of renewal and growth, offering a perfect opportunity to refresh your body and mind. Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) emphasises living in harmony with the seasons, and spring is associated with the liver, which governs the flow of Qi (energy) throughout the body. Embracing TCM principles can help you harness the energy of spring for optimal health and wellness. Here are some TCM-inspired self-help tips to boost your well-being this spring.
Those of you who visited the QYHC at it's old location will understand why I was excited to discover we would have our very own bathroom at the new space, but take a look.... How revolting is the before photo??! I was not going to let the opportunity to create a beautiful, serene and CLEAN bathroom for myself and my beautiful patients pass me by. After years of sharing the awful toilets at Springwood Mall, finally we have a clean and calm place to pee in peace! Which one would you rather use?!
Welcome to part two of my before and after photos! As you can see, I got quite a nasty surprise when I pulled up the horrid old lino on my first day in the new premises - underneath was terrible water damage that rendered the place unsafe & unhealthy. After an already long and arduous journey to securing this new premises, it was almost enough to make me want to give up.... But hopefully you know, that's not the kind of person I am. It took another two months of negotiations to get the owner to address this serious issue properly (i.e. not just "giving it a good clean", as they wanted me to do) - including professional mould remediation (twice, at my insistence), waterproofing the walls and floor, and agreeing to regular air quality health checks. To their credit, they eventually did all the right things. And only then could I begin painting, flooring and decorating.... but I hope you agree it was all worth it. I'm proud of everything I've overcome to get to this point and how great it looks! My wonderful patients tell me that the space has lovely energy and have been having deeply relaxing and healing treatments already. More photos to come...I hope you're enjoying them.
I'm delighted to offer you a peek into the transformation of a delapidated old space into the beautiful nurturing clinic that Quan Yin Healing Centre 2.0 now is! This is the first of a series of posts - today I'll be showcasing the reception area. I personally painted all the ceilings & walls, laid every floor plank, and did the decor. It's still not 100% finished, but I'll keep refining the special finishing details, and it's so wonderful to be open again!! What do you think?!
As the cold grip of winter gives way to the blooming vibrance of spring, our bodies and minds often crave a reset. The transition into spring is not just a change in season; it's an opportunity for renewal and rejuvenation. One holistic approach that can enhance your well-being during this time is acupuncture. Let’s explore how this ancient practice can be particularly beneficial in spring.
Let this wisdom inspire you today! Happiness isn't about fitting into a specific mould; it's about embracing life's possibilities and being open to what each moment offers. Take a step back, breathe, and allow yourself to simply be present.
I hope this message finds you warm and cosy on this wonderful winter weekend.
I can't think of a better day to write to you, than the one following the longest night of the year. It is symbolic of emerging out of the darkness, new beginnings, and stepping into the ever growing light. On that note, I'm very happy to share with you that my new clinic, the Quan Yin Healing Centre, 2.0 is now open for bookings! I'm still putting the finishing touches on the space, so I won't share any photos just yet, but I will be sharing some before/after pictures in future emails (and social media)....and of course, I can't wait for you to come and see it in person :-) From next week, you'll be able to find me at Shop 1, 66 Springwood Avenue, Springwood - I'm nestled in between the Pilates Studio ('The Mat Life'), and Service NSW (which is across the laneway, on the opposite corner). It's a lovely spot, super quiet (no more banging from the cafe next door, yay!), and with a view of bushland across the road. You can now make bookings here in the portal, or online on the website, with availability starting next week. I will have reduced hours (10-3pm, Monday to Friday) to begin with, but I will be looking to extend these hours in future, to hopefully include some evenings and Saturdays too. I have updated my offerings to reflect the longer time and higher quality of care you receive with a standard consult, as well as continuing to offer an extended follow up session for those times when you might have extra questions or concerns you would like more time to discuss. Please do select a longer session if you feel this applies to you. I know in the past I have been very 'relaxed', shall we say, with appointment times, but I'm taking this opportunity to make a fresh start, and will be staying within the allocated appointment times from now on. Thank you so much for your understanding. I am also now offering express, 30 minute 'mini stress relief' sessions for only $50, so if you'd like to come in and lie on the beautiful infrared crystal heat mat for a relaxing and restorative acu-nap, you can do that too!! Combine that with some time in the massage chair, and you'll be floating for the rest of the day :-) Sessions now available include: * Standard follow up session - 70 minutes - $115 * Extended follow up session - 90 minutes - $150 * Mini stress relief session - 30 minutes - $50 * Meditouch Massage chair - 20/30/40/60 minutes - $25/$30/$40/$50 ....With more offerings in the wings to be announced soon. Finally, I have a special offer for you all to celebrate the re-opening of my practice: I am offering a 50% discount for all sessions (of any length) booked in the Meditouch massage chair over the next two weeks - just use code RELAX in the portal when booking your session. And even better, I am offering a 100% discount for all sessions (of any length) booked in the Meditouch massage chair for everyone who books an acupuncture session over the next two weeks! Just use code BLISS in the portal when booking your appointments (they can be made for different times if you wish). You can use the discounts as many times as you like until the 7th of July - so enjoy! That's all for today - thank you, once again, for reading all the way to the end of a rather lengthy email. Enjoy the Winter Magic this weekend, and I look forward to being in touch again soon, and hopefully seeing you in my beautiful new space. With love, Angie |
